Amanda received a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Textiles, a Bachelor's of Science Education in Art Education, and a minor in Art History from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.

After graduating she has had the pleasure of attaining numerous teaching experiences both in traditional and non-traditional settings, as well as an artist residency for alumni at Kutztown University. She concluded numerous substitute positions throughout the years as well as teaching a summer camp program at the Textile Arts Center the summer of 2017. Amanda was also one of the inaugural instructors for the Kutztown University and Kutztown Arts Society Summer camps that are now running consistently. She is currently a full time middle school art educator with 6th-8th grade in a small public school while also working hard in her studio.

Amanda is a creative and bold person, not only in her work but with her life. She has a true enthusiasm for discovery, learning and growth through experiences of the world. She is a 'glass half full' type of person and enjoys laughing all the time, regardless of if it's at herself. She lives a truly creative life, whether that is weaving and creating in her own studio, teaching art to adults and youth, or just the way she does her eye make-up for the day!
